Meet Deidre Holmberg
I’m a STEM Education Consultant.
🌐 Website🔥 What drives Deidre
“I am driven by new opportunities to network, to grow my businesses, and to help students engage in meaningful, rigorous STEM work by training their teachers on best engagement practices. I love meeting other creative entrepreneurs. In addition to my 9-5, I am excited about making art, learning to repurpose everything, and getting into the local real estate market.”
🌈 Deidre‘s vision for the Tri-Cities
“We should ignite, in all of our citizens, a passion for community building, a commitment to greener energy solutions, and a desire to be more welcoming to newcomers and new businesses. There are so many ways to do this, and many of the ways are already underway.”
⭐️ Tiffany Chadha on Diedre:
“If you ever hear someone using the term ‘garbage barge’, you can trace that person back to Deidre.”

🤸♂️ Activity
I truly love Drewboy Creative art shows. I love the free public tours at LIGO and the B-Reactor. I also dearly love hiking in and around the Tri-Cities.
👩🏽🎤 Artist
Davin Diaz is my favorite local artist and entrepreneur-I have one of his paintings hanging in my living room.
🌳 Location
Howard Amon Park. I love to walk or bike along the river (my friends and I started a Lady Bike Gang-all are welcome), and support local entities like Northwest Paddleboarding, Greenies, and Allied Arts.
👥 Group
I was recently appointed to the STEM Education Innovation Alliance by the Governor. I am very excited to be to meet other STEMinists from around the state.
😄 People
Anne Spillman for leading the ever-expanding offerings at ACT for students.
Darlene Mercer for working so diligently for children in foster care and brightening our community with dance.
Joe Jacobs and David Lippes for giving me sound advice on starting my small business.
Davin Diaz for Drewboy Creative art scene improvements
💪 Projects
STEMCore Consulting is heavily invested in leveraging local STEM resources so all kids can benefit from the best our community has to offer.
I recently interviewed to be on the Economic Development Committee for the City of Richland. I'm not sure I was a fit. Any other ideas?
I am always looking for a Spanish-language support team for students and families during STEM activities.
