Meet Sara Quinn
“I make pixel art, play boardgames and video games, hang out with my dog and my husband, and read A LOT.”
👤 Facebook 🐦 Twitter 📸 Instagram⭐️ Brendan Quinn on Sara Quinn :
“Sara’s a badass, aggressively kind, honest and never backs down from a fight to protect or improve the lives of other people”
🔥 What drives Sara
“Two things, mainly: Tumbleweird and Tri-City Area Gaming. With Tumbleweird, being a part of local journalism in the Tri-Cities and having the opportunity to highlight local artists and other people that shake things up around the Tri is a HUGE part of what gets me motivated each day. When it comes to TAG, it feels like all of my goals for what we could do with a gaming-focused nonprofit have been exceeded. We keep finding new ways to partner with other organizations in the community, bringing STEAM education to kids and inclusive events to everyone in the Tri-Cities.”
🌈 Sara‘s vision for the Tri-Cities
“I think that if we can see ourselves and each other as people worthy of love and respect, we'll be able to act in ways that make our community better. Life isn't a zero-sum game; someone else getting more doesn't mean you get less. We can lift each other up and all be better for it.”
Sara’s recommendations
🥪 Food
The cuban sandwich from Vinny's. It will ruin every other sandwich forever.
🤸♂️ Activity
🌳 Location
I'm sure this answer isn't unique, but I have to say Adventures Underground. I go there pretty often, and I have to put blinders on to leave... there's just too much good stuff. Books, comics, toys, games... and I usually head next door to the Caterpillar Cafe to check out their record collection.
👥 Group
I've already written about Tri-City Area Gaming (TAG), but I think what we're doing in the community is really worthwhile. Check us out: tricityareagaming.org
👩🏽🎤 Artist
Breanna Broadie makes amazing art out of words. She is extremely talented!
