⭐️Anne Spilman on Jeffrey Kissel:
“Jeff is passionate about science, art, and community engagement. He is a perfect example of how to celebrate all that the TC has to offer.”
🔥 What drives Jeffrey
I'm come to think of myself as a creative facilitator. I get really excited when I can help whomever is creating something new, unique, and inspiring -- whether that be in my professional setting with my fellow scientists, or it be in my primary volunteer endeavors as an Arts Commissioner for the City of Richland, or simply helping my friends and family create. I wish there were 28 hours in the day!
🌈 Jeffrey‘s vision for the Tri-Cities
“I would love for the Tri-Cities to merge. Though the people all live in one greater metropolitan area, with 4 cities, 3 ports, 3 counties, and infrastructure that depends on state and federal agencies, it's daunting at best for us to raise enough capital and momentum to make substantial changes in our community as a whole. We need less divided control of our area!”
The Papas Bravas at Europa in Kennewick are out of this world delicious and authentic.
The Rude Mechanicals are putting on world class, innovative, Shakespeare right here in town. Go see them if you haven't already!
I'm a runner, so any place that I can run outdoors is a win for me. My favorite places to run in the city are along the Columbia River; the Urban Green Belt Trail between Leslie Groves and Howard Amon park is a particularly beautiful 3 mile stretch that's wonderful to use all year round!
Tri-Town Swing is a social, partner dance group that provides professional quality, friendly, and fun classes and the space for social dances every week.
From a list of folks I've *found* (in no way includes all): David Vasquez, Mary Dryburgh, Heidi Elkington, Michael Coffman, Ray Lechelt, Kat Millicent, Neva Scott, ... they're all amazing!
Davin Diaz: working hard to bring social consciousness into our community through art.
Ellicia Elliot: pushing the envelope in the local theatrical arts.
Emily Richman: inspired work in the local physical, social, and mental health industries.
Ted Miller: a community activist, journalist, and educator.
Cynthia Vaughn: never-ending to passion for elevating the arts & culture in our community.
I've been a member of the Richland Arts Commission since 2015. We volunteer for the City to explore, enhance, and facilitate the City's arts-related activities.
I'm also a patron of Tumbleweird, a magazine whom strives to connect a more diverse, creative, and progressive community than for what Eastern Washington gets credit.
