⭐️ Brett Spooner on Jessica Schneider :

“Jessica is one of the most driven and dedicated CEO’s I know. Her vision for her medical practice, and society in general, is innovative and inspires me to reflect and do better personally.”

🔥 What drives Jessica

I get fired up about creating something new. This has looked like dreaming up many business ideas throughout my early years, zero of which amounted to anything until Empowered Health. I can spend hours dreaming about a concept, determining next steps and then creating a budget to put it into motion. In fact, my husband and I spend many Saturday mornings with coffee and budgets (is budgeting a love language?). In addition to my own ventures, I love helping someone dream about their own ideas and figure out logical steps forward (schedule lunch if this is you!). And I can’t leave out that there is nothing better than helping someone realize health, which is not simply the absence of disease. When a patient tells me “I didn’t know it was possible to feel this good” my heart soars and I have energy for the rest of the week.

🌈 Jessica‘s vision for the Tri-Cities

“We need access to less expensive, high quality food. This includes organic public gardens, an increase in health food stores, ongoing food co-ops and local restaurants sourcing organic, farm raised ingredients. I plan to supply education on why this is critical for our health through group visits at Empowered Health in 2020.”

Jessica’s recommendations

🍩 Food

Maple bacon donuts from Fiction @ J. Bookwalter Winery, served only at brunch. Order two, you will want more!

🤸‍♂️ Activity

Barré class at CBRC with Leah. FUN, hard work, couldn’t walk down the stairs after my first class. Worth it!

🌳 Location

Howard Amon Park in early Spring or late Fall. This time of year it is less crowded, the air is crisp and you can walk barefoot without stepping in goose poop.

😄 People

Mary Taylor – creating a magazine and a community development catalyst

Brent Johnsen – disrupting religious industry

Katie Klute – providing options to those with eating disorders, depression and anxiety

💪 Projects

I am an Associate Board Member of Gesa Credit Union. I am proud of the efforts Gesa takes to work with the community to increase financial literacy. E. g. partnering with local schools to give hands-on experience to students through the running of Campus Branches.
